Amilcar Petroleum Operations “APO” – Job Opportunities

Amilcar Petroleum Operations “APO”, the operator of both Hasdrubal and Miskar Gas concessions, is seeking candidates to fill vacancies in its facilities located at Sfax and Gabes.

Position: Medics/Logistics/HLO – Ref: APO Ad. 01/2025

Location: Sfax


The Position Reports to the Platform OIM, the position holder is mainly responsible for First Aid and Medical support for the Platform Personnel.


Secondary Duties include, but are not limited to, Logistics Support, Helicopters and Vessels and Platform administrative duties.


Key Accountabilities

Medic

Maintain an occupational health service for Platform staff providing front line medical service for illness and injury

Diagnoses and treats with support of company doctor illnesses and injuries that are likely to occur on the Platform

Plan and provide training and exercise in first aid and hygiene


Logistic

Manages the safe and efficient operation of helicopter and SBV on Miskar Platforms


Plan and optimize the movements of personnel and materials to and from the platform


Participate in budget preparation


Administration

Supervise the catering services and food quality


Control Platform Materials


Responsible for the solid waste management plan


Health, safety, security & environmental requirements

The individual must set and maintain the highest standards of integrity, trust and adherence to the company’s’ HSSE requirements.


HSSE responsibility shall include, but not limited to, the following:


To be proactive in obtaining HSSE information applicable to your role from your line manager.


To comply fully with APO HSSE rules and procedures.


To comply fully with APO Environmental policy and contribute to minimising any environmental impact from your daily activities


To comply fully with the APO security procedures, taking full responsibility for equipment, assets and information/data entrusted to You to perform your job.


Required Educational Qualifications and Main Skills

Minimum Bac + 03 years University: health sciences schools (preferred in Anaesthesia) or equivalent.


Minimum 3 years Working experience in Medic position.


Extensive knowledge of advanced first aid and advanced trauma life support


Extensive knowledge of food handling and hygiene


Fluent in written and spoken English


Good communication skills networking skills


Desirable

Helicopter landing officer


Use SAP, GWMS and Vantage data


Certified Rig Medic, eACLS, PHTLS

Production Technician – Ref: APO Ad. 02/2025

Location: Sfax


The purpose of the Production Technician role is the safe, reliable and optimal operations of APO facilities.


Key Accountabilities

Ensure full operation of plant and equipment in line with APO operating procedures and in compliance with APO Health, Safety, Security and Environmental policies.


Record all operations related to a dedicated area and ensure a comprehensive handover of ongoing operations and equipment status.


Prepare and submit daily reports such as production reports, tracking registers, rate reduction reports…


Ensure all work is performed under the Permit to work system.


Prepare / adhere to, risk assessments and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) assessments.


Carry out reviews and preparation of procedures for routine and non-routine activities.


Perform Mechanical / Process isolation as required.


Provision of purging, performing and recording atmospheric tests.


Participate in firefighting and rescue duties to respond to site emergencies.


Deliver the shift plan and steer/targets safely and timely for their unit, in addition to keep unit operations safe.


Provide clear and concise information in shifts is conducted in accordance with Ensure Safe Production requirements for situational awareness, proper follow-up and work planning.


Qualifications, Job knowledge, skill and experience

Baccalaureate completed + Successful minimum two years in the university with technical background (Senior technician diploma, ISET or Equivalent) with minimum 3 years’ experience in gas plants, refineries or chemical or power plant operations


OR

Professional recognized diploma (BTP or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in gas plants, refineries or chemical or power plant operations


Distributed control system DCS experience preferred.


Knowledge on Fluid mechanics, thermodynamic, rotary machines, physic laws, chemical laws.


Good Computer skills.


Ability to communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken.


Collaboration / Team working skills.


High ethical standards with integrity.


Work Pattern

12-hour shifts on rotational pattern of days, nights, and weekends for onshore.

The successful candidate may from time to time be required to take on a non-shift job.


Position: Operations Technician – Ref: APO Ad. 03/2025

Location: Gabes


Gabes based, The Operations Technician reports to Gabes Terminal Operations Superintendent.


Key Accountabilities

Monitor process operating parameters and ensure compliance with the operating procedures and in compliance with the company’s HSSE policies under the immediate direction of the Gabes Terminal Operations Superintendent.


Initiate the most appropriate actions to ensure safe execution of operations in the terminal and in the port during the export phase


Coordinate with the Senior Tech, the ADMIN officer, and the stakeholders to perform the LPG sales activities.


Ensure that the first line maintenance activities are carried out and documented as part of the daily routines.


Complete a comprehensive handover of ongoing operations and equipment status.


Act as an emergency response team member in case of a site emergency and carry out the duties assigned in the emergency procedures.


Contribute to minimizing any environmental impact during daily activities.


Qualifications, Job knowledge, skill and experience
